About the Course:
As we have begun implementing the I-Succession Planning for several members, this webinar will highlight the 10 key benefits for all members. Some of the benefits of I-Succession are applicable for anyone that owns or wants to own a business. Some are for those that are planning their business succession strategy regardless of whether the successor is a known family member or key person or unknown to them at this time.
The objectives are:

- Know the benefits of preplanning.

- Learn the key points to any business valuation.
- How is real estate valued and how can it be used in a succession plan.

Presenter's Bio:
Daniel M. Isard, MSFS, is the founder of The Foresight Companies. In the last four decades, Dan has been the most published person in funeral service writing four books, over 1,000 articles published in our profession’s magazines and presented almost 2,000 hours of seminars. He has appraised over 4,000 funeral homes and cemeteries. He has helped more than 500 people transfer their business to all forms of buyers including family, key people, and large operators. Dan and Foresight have helped create almost $1 billion in financing to support these transactions and other business needs. He has been an expert witness in more than 125 cases nationwide including the Menorah Garden’s case. He brings all this experience to bear in his humorous presentation style. In 2021, Dan “retired” from the active management of Foresight turning over the company to his partners, Chris Cruger and Doug Gober. He continues to work with some clients and is the coordinator of the I-Succession Plan of the IFDF. When not working, Dan spends his time in Sedona, Arizona golfing, scuba diving off some remote island, or spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
- You must be an IFDF member (firm establishment owner, individual member, and affiliate member).
- You must attend the full webinar to obtain credit; partial credit will not be awarded.
- You must login to Zoom using your full name and remain logged into the webinar for the entirety of the event.
- Prior to or immediately after the event, forward your FL license number to Ruth Bedell, to sign up for CE credit.
- IFDF will issue documentation granting credit within 4 weeks post-event after verifying full attendance and will upload the course roster to the licensee portal.
