Phoebe Stubblefield

Dr. Phoebe R. Stubblefield is the Director of the C.A. Pound Human Identification Laboratory. In 2023 she was promoted to fellow in Section H Anthropology of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, based on her work for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Investigation. In the late nineties, as a descendant of TRM survivors, and future forensic anthropologist, she joined the scientific consultants for the Tulsa Race Riot Commission, and now serves as the lead forensic anthropologist for the current investigation. She is honored to have a role in restoring the history of the Tulsa Race Massacre and returning its victims to family and history.
