CDC Issues New Outdoor Mask Guidance for fully Vaccinated People
On Tuesday, April 27th, the CDC announced new outdoor mask guidance for fully vaccinated people. According to the CDC, if you are fully vaccinated, which means two weeks have passed since your second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or your only shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you can now take off your mask at small outdoor gatherings, or when dining outside with friends from multiple households. However, unvaccinated people will still need to wear a mask at such gatherings.
The CDC provided a helpful diagram illustrating the safety levels of outdoor and indoor activities for both fully vaccinated people and unvaccinated people. You can view that diagram here. Detailed information on participating in daily activities and going out is also included on the website.
