Experience/skills: I bring a balance of technical and interpersonal skills. My background includes embalming 60+ cases of all types, from trauma and decomposition to infants and the elderly, as well as experience in restoration, reconstruction, and desairology. I have directed and supervised funeral and memorial services across multiple faiths and cultures, working closely with clergy, law enforcement, medical examiners, veterans’ services, and third-party vendors.

In addition to preparation room skills, I have served as the primary point of contact for families—guiding them with compassion from the first call through final disposition. I am comfortable handling sensitive cases, hosting private viewings, and providing grief resources. I also have experience coordinating contracts, insurance assignments, merchandise, and payments, keeping accounts receivable near zero.

I have supervised associates, trained colleagues informally in prep room procedures, and managed logistics such as ship-ins/ship-outs, removals, and crematory processing. I am skilled in organizing events from start to finish, including flowers, music, catering, and chapel setup.

Overall, I am dependable, compassionate, with the ability to balance technical care for decedents with empathetic care for families.

Additional information: My heart is what has led me to the industry. I have had multiple calls to enter, and I finally answered in 2020. I am a recent graduate of Funeral Services (shout-out to St. Petersburg College) with hands-on experience in both directing and embalming, and I am actively seeking employment where I can continue to grow while contributing to a team. I have completed my internship and have experience working with families in sensitive, emotional circumstances. My background includes assisting with arrangements, coordinating services, and providing professional care in embalming, cosmetics, and preparation. I am proud of my preparation room skills and consistently receive compliments on my work.
